This month I did more runs over two miles. Since joining the Discovery Run group, I've started working on being able to run a 5K with as few walk breaks as my knee can handle. I might be running my first fun 5K soon ;)
Here's a fun little survey to use to look back on your month. Feel free to answer any of these questions in the comments below or copy and paste in your own blog post (just be sure to tell me about it so I can read all your answers!).

The last week of September has been a busy one - challenging my ability to get workouts in.
Sunday - We helped a friend celebrate her birthday on a junk boat ---> did you see my hula hoop skills on Instagram?
Monday - I had a Hong Kong Hosts meeting and ran errands in Central. Night run with Discovery Run group.
Tuesday - I had a laser hair removal appointment ---> sprinted to catch the ferry (workout for the day)
Wednesday - Got my SUP board (price reduced on Amazon) back in the water
Thursday - Went to the American Women's Association Welcome Back Breakfast at the (yep) American Club
Friday - Exercises in the pool and some relaxing too
Saturday - REST (almost ran but it was stormy)
Sunday - went for a morning walk
Looking ahead: October is the month I get back on my carb cycling wagon and really focus on strength. There's a new Faster Way to Fat Loss group starting on October 16th. If you have been thinking about joining and are looking for a way to reboot your body (like I needed), take a look at my results. I have been carb cycling for over a year now and it is the easiest way to maintain my weight.
How was your week? month?
What are you looking forward to in October?
It's fabulous that your knee is feeling better and you are making progress with your runs. That's gotta feel good. Fun survey!
ReplyDeleteFeels so good!
DeleteWow getting to run in other countries is definitely on my list! That sounds so cool! I logged 104.71 miles this month...I'm ready for a shorter monthly mileage but I won't get that until after the full marathon I'm doing in November.
ReplyDeleteMarathon training is no joke! Kudos to you for logging all those miles!!
DeleteWOW, I am always impressed with the variety of runs/workouts you do each week! Your Budapest runs and pics were so impressive on your other post.....totally jealous! Glad your knee is showing signs of major improvement!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could travel and run in a new place every month, haha! Makes writing my monthly review more exciting!
DeleteGlad to hear your knee is improving! That survey was really fun. You've had quite the month!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sara!
DeleteGreat news about your knee! Fun survey and so cool that you got to run in Budapest!
ReplyDeleteI had to do at least one run there, two was over the top ;)
DeleteLove this little survey! I might have to steal it. I've never tried any Athleta gear. I've never seen it in stores!
ReplyDeleteI hope you do ;) Athleta is part of Old Navy, GAP, Banana Republic chain. Great stuff. You should definitely check it out.
DeleteI used to write my mileage down on a calendar. But since I got my new Garmin watch it keeps track of all my mileage and syncs to my phone so I can look it up that way. But I have added any my mileage up all summer.
ReplyDeleteI use the Nike+ running app - keeps all that info. for me like Garmin does. Sometimes I look, sometimes I don't, but I used to be obsessed ;)
DeleteI saw your hula skills and I was impressed! That is one thing I've never been able to do!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I surprised myself big time! It was fun!
DeleteI love this little survey, what a fun month you've had! You should have done the survey as a link up so we could all share ours :)
ReplyDeleteAhh, good idea! Maybe next time ;)
DeleteIt sounds like your knee is getting better and things are going well for you! I'll answer a few questions... How many times did you run? 9 What was your total mileage? 44 running 164 cycling What was your favorite purchase? InkNBurn Skirt Thanks for linking!
ReplyDeleteThank YOU for hosting! And that bike ride! I think a lot more of me would be sore than just my sit bone ;)
DeleteI have been eyeing Amanda's Faster Way to Fat Loss program for a couple years. It's not really the investing part as much as it is changing up my routing, My friend is my strength trainer and I really love my time with her. I guess I'm still on the fence. Any advice to get me off?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE my cardio and strength classes (BodyStep and BodyPump), so I understand. Once I got the hang of the FWTFL workouts, I figured out where I could substitute with my classes based on the fitness center schedule. I think the most important part is matching the workout with the eating plan, so switching up days is common. There really are a lot of options that make this program work for just about everyone. You can email me if you have any more questions!
