Colorado was Awesome | Weekly Wrap

Our extra long spring trip to the US came to an end and we returned to Hong Kong over the weekend. We spent our last few days in the US enjoying time with middleC and watching him graduate from University of Colorado Boulder. We squeezed in workouts, explored new hiking trails and soaked up as much Boulder springtime as we could. Colorado was awesome to us and it's always hard to say good-bye, even after living out of my suitcase for nearly a month.

I fell off the PPB challenge wagon as of Thursday. Between graduation activities, travel and jet lag, I have not been able to keep up. I have a plan to catch up and I will let you know what happens here.

After only a few hours of sleep on Saturday night, the most adventurous thing I did all Sunday was walk to the grocery. It felt good to be out, even though the heat and humidity arrived in Hong Kong while we were gone.

Weekly Wrap (with links ICYMI):

Monday - Elliptical sprints and a big hike on Boulder's beloved mountain

Tuesday - Run sprints and hike

Wednesday - Easy morning hike

Thursday - middleC graduation day at CU

Friday - travel --->  leave Denver 8:30am

Saturday - arrive in Honk Kong 11pm

Sunday - jet lag induced rest day ;)

To all the mothers out there, Happy Mother's Day!

As usual I’m linking up with Holly and Wendy for the Weekly Wrap!

  1. Wow, that's a long travel period! I think I would probably be jet-lagged for a week after all that. Congratulations on your son's graduation! And happy Mother's Day!

    1. All in all, it's about 20 hours of travel, but we lose a day crossing the international date line and it does take about a week to feel completely normal again ;)

  2. I hope you enjoyed your time visiting back in the states. You will now have to take a few more rest days! -M

    1. Thank you, we had a great time (even though mrC had to work a little). My jet lag might force extra rest on me, but I will TRY to get back into my normal routine.

  3. Sounds like a great visit back, but I can imagine the jet lag is tough! You still fit in a ton of fitness and at altitude, which counts twice as much :)

    1. Oh I do love a king sized bed in a hotel, but you're right. It does feel good to be back to my things.

  5. Wow! You guys get around! Love CO. My son lives in Steamboat Springs. Can't say I love the altitude for running, though. It always takes me a week to get used to it, then we are packing to go home!

    1. Very proud of him and feeling blessed we were able to be there. My husband's schedule is not usually so cooperative ;)

  10. Congrats to middleC! I love visiting Colorado and will be there again in 18 days (not that I'm counting or anything...). It's got to be difficult living out of a suitcase for that long. Put your feet up for a few days. Traveling and jet lag are no joke. Thanks for linking!
