There are some people who know you almost better than you know yourself. My MOM is one of those people. She recently sent me my new favorite running shirt. Now, you might be thinking big woop! Of course your mom knows you like to run. But it's not just that she knows I like to run; she knows that I need to run. I need to run for ME. Thanks Mom!
I love the comfort and casualness of sweatshirts. But I don't always like the bulk. A few months ago I was browsing the Athleta catalog and saw the perfect solution: the Olema Pullover. I waited until I had a coupon, a rewards discount, and a gift card to order it. Yesterday my husband said, You really like your new top, don't you? Yes, I might be wearing it that much.
After dealing with a tender hamstring, I've been trying to strengthen my hips to prevent another injury. Earlier this week Cheryl posted Strengthening your Hips: Runner's Injury Prevention which highlights some exercises using bands that will have your "hip flexors screaming." Meet my new favorite workout tool.
What are you loving right now?

ReplyDeleteI loved that Athleta top when we had it in the store. I got a sweater there last month and I am wearing it non-stop. I am doing a raffle for a $100 Athleta gift card on my blog for TNT donations, would love for you to check it out. :)

ReplyDeleteI love your top, "I Run for Me" I want that! I have a bright yellow hoodie pullover that I love, one it's a hoodie, but two its yellow and you can never have a bad day wearing bright yellow:)
ReplyDeleteI love that top! Everything you do should always be in your own best interest! Right now I'm loving how all my hard work and patience in my career is now starting to pay off! Never question why you do the things you do if it makes you happy and it aids in you becoming a better person!
ReplyDeleteI don't like sweatshirt bulk either. The Athleta top looks like the perfect weight.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm actually enjoying running. And JCP. I'll be getting something fun this weekend. :-)
Love the T-shirt from your mom, moms are just the best! Glad your hamstring injury is on the mend. Right now I'm loving baked lentil chips and the fact that the weekend is almost here!

ReplyDeleteLove the shirt! I started using the bands in PT after an injury and have continued to use them as part of my strength workouts.
